However this does not mean that an online degree in law would not be of any use to practice law. The state of California permits students who have completed sufficient number of classes in non-accredited online law schools to sit for the bar exam. All other states in the US however permit only law graduates from accredited law schools to take up the bar exam. Law graduates from web-based law schools in California can also sit for the bar in other states once they practice law in California for five to seven years.
All online degree programs in law are tailored to suit people with work and family commitments who would not be able to attend a regular law school. An online course also offers people the facility to pursue the course at their own pace from the comfort of their home. People with no access to a regular school close to them can also benefit from an online degree course.
