One complaint many students have concerning e learning courses is the degree of isolation that is involved as compared to a traditional classroom. Many people enjoy meeting and getting to know fellow students, as well as pooling resources to study for tests and stay motivated throughout the course. However, when you enroll in an e learning course, you may have to take the class alone without much encouragement from fellow students or instructors.

Although brick and mortar universities are not in danger of being replaced, distance learning online is gaining popularity and allowing many students to earn degrees from home.
